What’s the deal with health and medical insurance?

If health insurance is out of reach for most people, dental insurance is even worse. It is the rare person or jobs that supplies dental insurance, and the ones that do are so minimal that most people don’t even notice they have it. The average dental insurance policy might cover up to $1000 a year per person, and this doesn’t even cover half of a root canal in most locations in America. Unfortunately, dental insurance is rare so many people don’t have their teeth taken care of. They think it is an a big deal but doctors are now starting to understand that infections in the teeth can lead to problems another part of the body. This is because the infection in the tooth can travel through the blood stream into other parts of the body particularly the heart.

Taking care of one’s health than one’s body is not only for cosmetic reasons. Yes most people want to look good and they want the teeth to look good, but feeling good and healthy is the most important aspects of health. If people have access to health care and dental care this should help society overall because healthier people mean happier and more productive people.A healthy society in general can help everybody especially the economy. Any type of health care reform which allows people to get the medical and dental care that they need is going to be welcomed by most members of society. The peace of mind of just knowing you can afford to take care of your health or the health of your family is invaluable. The fact that some mothers and fathers cannot afford to take their children to doctors for routine checkups is horrifying to many. Yes, anyone can go to the ER for an emergency but then they are looking at a huge medical bill that they probably cannot pay. What this then means is debt collections and potentially liens on any property they might have. Affordable health care should be a reality for anyone, not just the rich or the poor (that can get medicaid).
